Grant Wood, the Cedar Rapids artist who painted American Gothic, also painted a series of 7 paintings of the Cherry Building.  Link to more information on the JG Cherry Series (1925).

Located in the historic Cherry Building, the Shuikun Yaju Ming Studio is a unique example of Ming Dynasty aesthetics in Iowa.
